How DayDebrief works

Read news without creating an account

Choose your interests, browse a visual mix of stories, and follow the reporting that matters to you. DayDebrief is free to browse and needs no separate account.

Open your reader
  1. Choose your interests

Open Interests in the reader and select subjects you want to follow. Discover publishers lets you browse the available sources and follow or unfollow them.

Start with Technology, Science or Business if you would rather explore one subject first.

  2. Choose a story

Each card names its publisher. Read in DayDebrief opens an available article in the reader. Publisher site follows the original reporting on the publisher's website, where its own access rules apply.

For articles that open here, use the text-size control to make reading more comfortable. The original source remains linked.

  3. Keep a link for later

When a card has a bookmark button, select it to save the story's link on this browser. Find it again through Interests > Saved stories.

Saving a link does not download the full article for offline reading.

What stays on your device?

Your interests, saved links and read markers stay in this browser. They do not automatically sync to a different computer or phone, and clearing browser data can remove them.

You can manage reading measurement in Settings. Anonymous reading totals are on by default; optional return-visit measurement stays off until you enable it.

Why some cards say Illustration

A card may use a labelled editorial illustration when an article photo is unavailable for use. It represents a subject; it is not a photograph of the reported event. Publisher credits and story details help you check the source.

Make your brief more useful

If a subject or source is missing, use Feedback in the reader. Tell us what you wanted to find and what would make you return. You can also email the team.
